Traditionally the student is first taught the Sun Salutation series and the ending poses with the Self Practice method. The student memorises the sequence and the poses by repeating them in their own rhythm in the group. In time, new poses are added according to their physical condition.
As the system progresses from simple to complex by adapting to each individual; people of all levels, ages, and body types have the opportunity to safely deepen in practice.
The practice of a beginner student takes a short time (30-45 minutes). As new poses are added over time, the duration of the practice gets longer, it can take up to 1-1.5 hours. For this reason, the class time interval is 7:00 – 9:30. Each student sets their starting time according to the length of their practice, time schedule, and completes their practice at their own pace and rhythm. Last entry time for the lesson is 8:15.
In LED lessons (directed by the teacher) once or twice a week, the sequence of fixed poses and breathing places are reinforced. On other days, it is practiced with the self-practice method. By systematically repeating the series, each student gains the awareness of changing their practice over time according to the current physical condition. For example, on a day when you are tired, you can do a shorter and softer flow, in case of mild injury, you can focus on healing by modifying the practice. On the days when you feel fit, you can find the opportunity to develop new poses.
